Sharp estimation costs for thermal Gaussian energies with known background
Scott Schubr, Luminary Oddities

main.pdf is the manuscript; main.tex is its complete editable source.
The paper constructs the exact globally unbiased optimum and proves sharp
quantum and heterodyne relative-risk laws under known thermal background.

Build with Python 3 and Tectonic:
python build.py --engine tectonic --output-dir build

Run the exact controls (Python standard library only):
  python verify_background.py
  python -O verify_background.py
  python verify_normalized_channel.py
  python -O verify_normalized_channel.py

The programs print JSON and write no files. They check real/complex
noncommuting operator moments, covariance ordering and normalized likelihood
identities. These finite controls support the formulas; the manuscript proves
the all-parameter and asymptotic claims. Both scripts work independently.

citation.json supplies bibliographic metadata. MANIFEST.sha256 lists the hashes
of all other public members.
