Optimal unbiased Gaussian quantum estimation and the cost of unknown squeezing
Scott Schubr, Luminary Oddities

main.pdf is the manuscript; main.tex is the complete editable LaTeX source.
The manuscript proves Gaussian expectation completeness and exact unbiased
optimality, derives the quartic risk, and establishes a matched quantum and
heterodyne minimax order under unknown squeezing.

Build with Python 3 and Tectonic:
python build.py --engine tectonic --output-dir build

Run the exact-arithmetic controls with Python 3 (standard library only):
  python verify_quartic.py
  python -O verify_quartic.py

The program derives all quartic Wick coefficients, independently checks finite-copy
normal-order moments, integrates the heterodyne U-statistic moments, and checks
the variance inequalities, pure-squeezed boundaries, Fock-state bias identity
and resource-bound constants. It prints a JSON report and writes no files.
Finite controls support the formulas; the manuscript contains the general proofs.

citation.json gives bibliographic metadata. MANIFEST.sha256 lists the SHA-256
hashes of the other public members.
